Welcome to Dolphin Boat Rentals. By booking a boat or tour with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

1. General Information

Dolphin Boat Rentals (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) has been operating in Keri, Zakynthos. We provide two primary services:

Self-Drive Boat Rentals: License-free vessels (30-40 HP) for up to 6 passengers.
Private Tours with Skipper: Professional guided excursions for up to 10 passengers.

2. Booking and Payment

Reservations: Bookings can be made via our website, WhatsApp, or in person at our Keri location.
Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed only after you receive a confirmation message/email from us.
Payment: We accept cash and major credit/debit cards. For online bookings, specific payment instructions will be provided during the checkout process.

3. Cancellation and Weather Policy

Weather Safety: Boat rentals and tours are subject to sea conditions. Dolphin Boat Rentals reserves the right to cancel any rental or tour if weather conditions are deemed unsafe by the Port Authority or our experienced staff.
Refunds (Weather): In the event of a cancellation due to bad weather, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of any deposit paid.
Customer Cancellations:
- Cancellations made more than [e.g., 48 hours] before the scheduled time will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made within [e.g., 24 hours] or “no-shows” may forfeit the deposit.

4. Self-Drive Boat Rentals (No License Required)

Operator Age: The person designated as the “Captain” must be at least 18 years of age.
Instruction: Before departure, we provide a mandatory safety briefing and operational tutorial. By taking the boat, you confirm you understand the controls and safety procedures.
Boundaries: Self-drive boats must remain within the “Self-Drive Zone” (typically Keri, Laganas Bay, Marathonisi, and Mizithres). Venturing beyond these limits to the West Coast or Shipwreck is strictly prohibited for safety reasons.
Capacity: You must not exceed the maximum capacity of 6 people.

5. Private Tours with Skipper

Itinerary: While we offer standard routes (Shipwreck, Mizithres, etc.), the final route is at the Skipper’s discretion based on sea conditions and safety.
Inclusions: Fuel, snacks, and drinks are included in the VIP Experience price as advertised.

6. Safety and Responsibility

Safety Equipment: All boats are equipped with life jackets and safety gear as required by Greek Law.
Conduct: Passengers must follow the instructions of the staff or skipper at all times. We reserve the right to terminate a rental without refund if passengers are acting recklessly or are under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
Environment: Zakynthos is home to the protected Caretta-Caretta sea turtles. Customers must respect National Marine Park regulations, including speed limits and distance from wildlife.

7. Damages and Liability

Inspection: Boats are inspected before and after each rental.
Damage: The renter is responsible for any damage caused to the boat, engine, or equipment (e.g., lost anchors, broken propellers) due to negligence or misuse.
Insurance: Our boats are insured for third-party liability as per Greek Law. However, this does not cover personal injury to the passengers resulting from their own negligence or damage to personal belongings (cameras, phones, etc.).

8. Use of Personal Data

By contacting us via WhatsApp or our booking form, you consent to the use of your contact details for the purpose of managing your reservation. We do not share your data with third parties.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Any disputes shall be settled in the courts of Zakynthos.
